Kate Hargadon, LMFT
At our core, I believe humans are all seeking connection and meaning. In a world that can feel overwhelming and isolating, it’s easy to lose touch with ourselves and others. And while therapy isn’t the only path to healing, it can be profoundly impactful for those ready to grow, change, and reconnect.
I bring curiosity, humor, and compassionate listening to my work, along with a mind–body approach that helps clients create supportive internal narratives, embrace their emotions, and trust their intuition. I encourage personal growth by gently challenging patterns and inviting exploration through thoughtful questions and introspection. I take a holistic view, considering how context and culture shape the way we move through the world.
I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and adult families on communication, relationship challenges, and self-discovery. I’m an LGBTQ+ and non-monogamy-affirming clinician, and whether you come alone or with loved ones, I look forward to being part of your journey.
I hold a Master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Purdue University. I am certified in the Gottman Method and have completed training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). My work is grounded in Attachment Theory and integrates Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Feminist Therapy to support meaningful and lasting change.
As a Chicago transplant who loves this city, I spend my free time running and cycling along the lakefront, listening to live music, cold plunging in Lake Michigan, and spending time with loved ones.
