All Therapists
Fatima Hashmi LPC, NBCC
I am a culturally-sensitive and a neurodiverse psychotherapist; I have had the privilege of living in various cities in three continents. I specialize in working with individuals and relationships that have experienced harm. While helping to facilitate a process where clients are able to examine and understand their hurt and find their empowerment. Complex trauma, such as the experience of constant wounding in relationship attachments often impairs our view of ourselves and can make the world feel isolating. This can also impact how we form friendships or seek out romantic partnerships.
I use relationships and community as a primary lens to engage clients in therapy. This incorporates a therapeutic style which goes much deeper than the surface to access shadow or hidden parts we may be avoiding. It also observes the systems you may exist in and how they shape you or affect you. It is also an empathic yet a more directive approach.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process rooted in mutual respect and trust. I view it as a partnership between two equals working together to help you feel safe, supported, and truly heard. Therapy with me is not limited to just talking. Whether we use words, art, music, or even spiritual aspects; I'm here to support your process.
