Elisabeth Kee, LCPC

Sometimes, you just know when it's the end of a chapter in life and you’re ready to turn the page to a new one. Therapy can be the transition to a whole new perspective on life. Through therapy, we get to see how our unconscious, conscious mind and past experiences have shaped our behaviors and patterns, and built the person we are today. As a psychodynamic therapist, it is my goal in therapy to help my clients gain insight into these unconscious beliefs and processes, so that they can ultimately identify these patterns and change their lives as desired. I believe in the unique journey of each individual, and strive to create a warm, welcoming, non-judgemental, highly-tailored and healing space in the therapy room. I am also highly person-centered, and like to follow the client's lead in terms of their individual needs for each session.

I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, depression and chronic illness/chronic pain related issues. I also work with all ages, including children. As someone who lives with multiple chronic illnesses, I understand how isolating the conditions and pain can become, and how necessary it is to have support as you navigate the complexities of life, symptoms, and the medical system. As a childhood cancer survivor, I also relate to the impact of trauma in childhood and its impact across the lifespan. I am passionate about helping people pick up the pieces that ultimately get lost when trauma shakes our foundations. I find that the most rewarding part of therapy is seeing my clients achieve their goals and dreams, not only despite, but because of their hard-earned victories over adversity. 

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, baking, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and playing with my three cats, Potion, Zuko and Morgana.
